Our Bread

Natural and Fresh

All of our bread begins with a natural “starter,” which is a fermenting combination of water, flour and live yeast.  The starter is, technically, alive.  As we take from the “starter,” we add back to the “starter,” and the fermentation process begins anew.

We use only natural ingredients and no preservatives.  Every morning we deliver our fresh baked bread to grocery stores and restaurants throughout the Kansas City area.  We are the only bakery putting fresh bread on the shelves 7 days a week.

As a local company we are involved in our community by participating in charitable events, education, and job opportunities, as well as donating to local food pantries and soup kitchens seven days a week.

Bread Care

Our bread is best enjoyed the day you purchase it.  If you are not going to eat the loaf right away, double bag a whole loaf or smaller portions in an airtight plastic bag and place in the freezer.  When ready to enjoy, thaw at room temperature for about 4 hours or overnight.  It is then best served by placing it in a 400° oven for 5 minutes.
